[THE PROBLEM]
Create a restaurant brand that merges cinematic storytelling with upscale Japanese dining, immersive, mysterious, and richly atmospheric.
[BACKGROUND]
Nori Noir is a fictional sushi restaurant inspired by film noir aesthetics. It blends shadowy lighting, velvet textures, and noir typography with the refinement of Japanese cuisine. The experience had to feel like stepping into a scene, elegant yet enigmatic, full of quiet narrative tension and theatrical presence.
[SOLUTION]
I crafted a visual identity rooted in contrast, suspense, and sophistication. The custom serif logotype combines classic elegance with cinematic flair. A rich, jewel-toned palette and theatrical layouts evoke velvet lounges and moody, atmospheric interiors. Menu designs, digital interfaces, and environmental mockups extend the brand across every carefully curated touchpoint. Each element contributes to an immersive narrative, a dining experience that feels curated, cinematic, and truly unforgettable.
